- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups frozen tater tots
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup pickles, chopped (optional)
- Ketchup and mustard for serving
- Cooking spray or oil for greasing
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425ยฐF (220ยฐC). Grease a cone-shaped mold or use aluminum foil to create cones.
- Place tater tots on the cones, pressing them gently to form a shell around each cone.
- Bake tater tot cones for 25-30 minutes or until golden and crispy, turning halfway through.
- While cones bake, cook ground beef with chopped onion in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Season with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Drain excess fat.
- Remove cones from oven and carefully fill each with the cooked cheeseburger mixture. Add chopped pickles if desired.
- Top each cone generously with shredded cheddar cheese to create the โcheese volcano.โ
- Return cones to the oven for 5-7 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve hot with ketchup and mustard for dipping.
