Description

Cheeseburger Tater Tot Nachos are a fun and tasty twist on traditional nachos. Crispy tater tots are piled high with seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, pickles, and all the fixings you’d expect from a cheeseburger. Perfect for game day, parties, or a hearty snack!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bag frozen tater tots
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup pickles, sliced
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup chopped lettuce (optional)
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Spread the frozen tater tots evenly on a baking sheet and bake according to package instructions, usually about 20–25 minutes, until crispy and golden.
  2. While the tater tots are baking, cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain any excess fat, then stir in the taco seasoning and a splash of water. Let it simmer for 5 minutes, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Once the tater tots are done, remove them from the oven and sprinkle the cooked beef mixture evenly over the tater tots.
  4. Top with both shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese, then return to the oven for an additional 5-7 minutes or until the cheese has melted and is bubbly.
  5. Remove from the oven and top with sliced pickles, diced tomatoes, chopped onion, ketchup, and mustard. Add optional toppings like lettuce and jalapeños if desired.
  6. Serve immediately while hot and enjoy your Cheeseburger Tater Tot Nachos!

Notes

  • Feel free to customize the toppings with your favorite burger condiments or even add bacon bits for extra flavor.
  • If you prefer a spicier version, swap out the jalapeños for your favorite hot sauce or spicy pickles.
  • These nachos are perfect for serving at parties or as a fun family dinner.
