Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or spray with cooking spray.
- For the brownie base: In a medium bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth. Add flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Stir in milk until the batter is smooth.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly to cover the bottom.
- For the cheesecake layer: In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add egg, vanilla, and flour, and continue to mix until fully incorporated.
- Spoon the cheesecake mixture over the brownie batter in dollops. Use a knife or toothpick to swirl the cheesecake layer into the brownie batter, creating a marbled effect.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean (a little cheesecake may cling). Let cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
