Description

  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese sauce)
  • 4 large flour tortillas

Instructions

  • Cook the Beef:
    • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
    • Add diced onions and cook until soft, about 3-4 minutes.
    • Add ground beef, breaking it apart while cooking. Season with garlic powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
    • Cook until the beef is browned, about 7-10 minutes, then drain excess fat if necessary.
  • Assemble Burritos:
    • Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave to make them pliable.
    • Layer ground beef mixture, diced tomatoes, cilantro, shredded lettuce, and cheddar cheese in the center of each tortilla.
    • Drizzle cheese sauce over the filling if using.
  • Wrap and Serve:
    • Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling, then roll it up tightly from the bottom.
    • Cut in half, and serve immediately.
