- 12 lasagna sheets, cooked al dente
- 3 cups Bolognese sauce, rich and meaty
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 egg, beaten
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, half of the shredded mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, and beaten egg. Season with salt and pepper and mix well.
- Assemble the Roll-Ups: Lay out cooked lasagna sheets. Spread Bolognese sauce over each sheet, then add the cheese mixture. Roll up each sheet carefully.
- Arrange in Baking Dish: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread a thin layer of Bolognese sauce in a baking dish. Place roll-ups seam side down in the dish, pour remaining Bolognese sauce on top, and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese.
- Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy with a side salad or garlic bread.
