  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise. Place the halves on the prepared baking sheet, cut side up.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, dried oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Mix well until smooth.
  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
