Ingredients
Scale
- 1 loaf of refrigerated pizza dough (or homemade dough)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup cooked sausage, crumbled
- 1/2 cup cooked pepperoni, chopped
- 1/4 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1/2 cup green bell pepper, diced
- 1/4 cup red onion, diced
- 1/4 cup black olives, sliced
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for some heat)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the pizza dough onto a lightly floured surface, shaping it into a rectangle (about 10×14 inches).
- In a medium bowl, mix together the mozzarella cheese, cooked sausage, pepperoni, bacon, green bell pepper, red onion, black olives, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Evenly spread the cheese and meat mixture along the center of the dough, leaving about 1 inch on each side.
- Fold the sides of the dough over the filling to create a loaf shape. Pinch the edges together to seal.
- Brush the outside of the bread with the melted butter, then sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese on top.
- Place the loaf seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted inside.
- Remove from the oven and allow it to cool for a few minutes before slicing.
- Serve warm and enjoy your Cheesy Garbage Bread Delight!
Notes
- Feel free to customize the filling with your favorite pizza toppings! You can add mushrooms, ham, or even pepper jack cheese for extra flavor.
- For a crispier crust, you can bake the bread directly on a pizza stone.
- If you prefer a lighter version, you can reduce the amount of cheese or use turkey sausage instead of regular sausage.
- This bread is best served fresh but can be reheated in the oven for a few minutes if needed.
