Golden, crusty bread filled with creamy garlic cheese sauce and juicy shrimp—a cozy dish to savor! Perfect for date night or a comforting meal.
Ingredients
- 1 large bread boule (round loaf)
- 8–10 medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
-
Prep the Bread Bowl:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the top off the bread boule and hollow out the center to create a bowl. Reserve the removed bread for dipping if desired. -
Cook the Shrimp:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Sear for 1-2 minutes on each side until pink and cooked through. Remove and set aside. -
Make the Garlic Cheese Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Gradually whisk in Parmesan and mozzarella cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Adjust salt and pepper to taste. -
Assemble the Bread Bowl:
Place the bread bowl on a baking sheet. Pour the cheese sauce into the bread bowl, then top with the cooked shrimp. -
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges of the bread are golden and the cheese is bubbly. -
Garnish and Serve:
Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve immediately. Use the bread you scooped out for dipping. Enjoy!
