- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until beef is browned and onion is tender. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, half of the cheddar cheese, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Top with frozen tater tots in an even layer.
- Bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
- Remove from oven, sprinkle remaining cheddar cheese on top, and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly and tater tots are golden brown.
- Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Add diced bell peppers or mushrooms for extra veggies.
- Use cream of chicken or celery soup as alternatives.
- Serve with a side salad for a complete meal.
