Instructions
- Prep the Baking Pan: Spray the mini skull baking pan with non-stick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Prepare the Dough: Lightly dust your work surface with flour. Roll, pat, or stretch the pizza dough out to about 1/4 inch thickness. Cut into 6 rectangles.
- Assemble the Skulls: Press each dough rectangle into a skull cavity of the baking pan. Fill with pizza sauce, shredded mozzarella cheese, a sprinkle of Parmesan, and desired fillings. Add a small spoonful of sauce on top.
- Seal the Skulls: Fold the dough over the fillings and pinch the edges to seal each pizza skull.
- Chill the Skulls: Refrigerate the tray while preheating the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Bake the Pizza Skulls: Bake for 16 to 20 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and fully cooked.
- Cool and Serve: Allow to cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before unmolding. Serve with marinara sauce and garnish with chopped parsley or basil.
Notes
- Cheese Variations: Feel free to substitute mozzarella with cheddar, provolone, or any other favorite cheese.
- Fillings: Customize with various toppings like vegetables or different types of meats to suit your taste.
- Pan Alternatives: If you don’t have a mini skull baking pan, you can use a muffin tin or shape the dough into pockets on a baking sheet.
