Description

This Cheesy Sloppy Cheeseburger Pasta is a one-pan, hearty meal that combines the flavors of a classic cheeseburger with the coziness of pasta. Made with ground beef, tomato sauce, and melty cheddar cheese, this quick and delicious dinner will be a family favorite in no time!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 12 oz rotini or any pasta of choice
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional, for browning beef)

Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the rotini and cook according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  • Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil if needed. Brown the ground beef with diced onion and minced garlic until the beef is fully cooked and onions are softened. Drain any excess fat.
  • Prepare the Sauce: Add tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder to the beef mixture. Stir to combine and simmer on low heat for 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Combine with Pasta: Mix the cooked pasta into the beef sauce, stirring until the pasta is fully coated.
  • Add the Cheese: Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top, cover the skillet, and let it sit for 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts. For a golden, bubbly cheese top, place the skillet under the broiler for a few minutes.
  • Serve: Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • Use freshly shredded cheese for smoother melting.
  • Substitute ground beef with ground turkey or chicken if desired.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
