Perfect for a family dinner or a casual weeknight meal, this dish is packed with flavor and will satisfy your hunger. The addition of steak and gooey cheese makes it an irresistible choice for meat and pasta lovers alike!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Steak Bites:

  • 1 lb sirloin steak (or your choice of steak), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp butter

For the Pasta and Sauce:

  • 8 oz rotini pasta (or any pasta shape of your choice)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the Steak Bites:
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak pieces and season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Sear the steak bites for 2-3 minutes per side, until browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
Once cooked, remove the steak from the skillet and set aside. Add butter to the skillet and melt, scraping up any browned bits from the steak. Set the pan aside for the sauce.
  2. Cook the Pasta:
While the steak cooks, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the rotini pasta and cook according to the package directions until al dente (about 8-10 minutes). Drain the pasta and set aside.
  3. Make the Creamy Sauce:
In the same skillet that you cooked the steak in, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese, continuing to cook until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Combine the Steak, Pasta, and Sauce:
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the creamy cheese sauce, tossing to coat the pasta in the sauce.
Add the cooked steak bites back into the skillet and gently stir to combine, ensuring the steak is evenly distributed throughout the pasta.
  5. Serve and Garnish:
Serve the cheesy steak bites and rotini pasta on plates, garnished with chopped parsley for a pop of color.
Optionally, sprinkle with extra Parmesan cheese for added flavor.
  6. Enjoy:
Dig into this rich, cheesy, and savory dish, and enjoy the combination of tender steak and creamy pasta!
