Description

This delightful Cherry Pie Iced Tea combines the sweet-tart flavor of cherries with the comforting essence of vanilla and butter, reminiscent of a classic cherry pie. Perfect for summer gatherings or a refreshing treat any time of year.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup frozen pitted cherries
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon butter extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cake batter extract (optional)
  • 2 cups Gold Peak Unsweetened Black Tea
  • 4 tablespoons cherry pie syrup
  • Fresh cherries for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the frozen cherries, granulated sugar, water, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Heat over medium, mashing the cherries gently as they begin to break down.
  3. Cook until the liquid thickens slightly. It doesn’t need to become syrupy yet—it will thicken more as it cools.
  4. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl, pressing the cherries to release every drop of juice. Discard the solids.
  5. While the syrup is still warm, stir in the lemon juice, vanilla extract, butter extract, and (if using) cake batter extract. Let the syrup cool fully.
  6. In a glass or pitcher, mix four tablespoons of your cherry pie syrup with two cups of cold Gold Peak Unsweetened Black Tea.
  7. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh cherries for a delightful presentation.

Notes

  • The optional cake batter extract adds a fun bakery note that gives your iced tea a truly unique taste profile.
  • Adjust the amount of cherry pie syrup to taste for desired sweetness.
