Instructions

  • Cream the Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
  • Add the Eggs and Vanilla: Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  • Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
  • Fold in the Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the chocolate chips or chopped chocolate.
  • Shape the Dough: Scoop out about 2 tablespoons of dough for each cookie and place them onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between them.
