Ingredients
Scale
- 4 small flour tortillas (or large tortillas cut into quarters)
- 2 chicken breasts, grilled and sliced into thin strips
- 2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
- 1/4 cup Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup croutons, crushed
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). Place the tortillas on a baking sheet and bake them for 5-7 minutes until they are slightly crispy but still pliable. Once out of the oven, shape the tortillas into cones by gently folding them into a cone shape and securing the seam with a toothpick. Let them cool.
- Grill or cook the chicken breasts on medium-high heat until fully cooked (about 6-7 minutes per side). Slice the chicken into thin strips and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, toss the chopped romaine lettuce with Caesar dressing until evenly coated.
- Once the tortilla cones have cooled, fill them with the dressed Caesar salad mixture, followed by slices of grilled chicken.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top of the salad-filled cones and crush a few croutons on top for added crunch.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
- Serve immediately as a fun appetizer or snack at your next party or gathering!
Notes
- To make the cones ahead of time, you can prepare them the day before and store the baked tortillas in an airtight container. However, itโs best to fill the cones with salad just before serving to avoid sogginess.
- For a lighter version, use a low-fat Caesar dressing or substitute with a yogurt-based dressing.
- If you prefer, you can add extra toppings such as cherry tomatoes, avocado, or bacon bits for additional flavor.
- For an extra crunchy texture, you can toast the croutons or use homemade ones for a more personalized touch.
