Description

These Beef Tenderloin Crostini with Parmesan Cream Sauce are an elegant and flavorful appetizer perfect for any special occasion. Tender beef tenderloin is paired with crispy crostini and topped with a rich and creamy Parmesan sauce, making each bite a delightful combination of savory, creamy, and crispy textures.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef tenderloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch slices (for crostini)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crostini: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet in a single layer. Brush both sides of each slice with olive oil and season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Toast in the oven for 8-10 minutes, or until golden and crispy. Remove from the oven and set aside.
  2. Cook the Beef: Season the beef tenderloin cubes with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef cubes and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Make the Parmesan Cream Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, until fragrant. Add the heavy cream, stirring constantly, and bring it to a simmer. Let it cook for 3-4 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Assemble the Crostini: Place the toasted crostini on a serving platter. Top each slice with a cooked beef tenderloin cube. Spoon the Parmesan cream sauce generously over the beef.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle chopped parsley and fresh thyme (if using) over the crostini for added flavor and garnish. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can make the crostini ahead of time and store them in an airtight container to keep them crispy.
  • For a more intense flavor, add a drizzle of balsamic glaze over the crostini after assembling.
  • This recipe can be easily doubled for larger gatherings or parties.
