Description

Tender chicken breasts simmered in a rich and creamy garlic herb Boursin cheese sauce. This elegant yet simple dish is perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 package (5.2 oz) Boursin Garlic & Herb cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken breasts and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove chicken and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and scrape any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  5. Reduce heat to medium-low and stir in heavy cream and Boursin cheese. Stir until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth.
  6. Return chicken breasts to the skillet, spoon sauce over them, and simmer for 3-5 minutes to warm through and let flavors combine.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Use chicken thighs instead of breasts for juicier meat.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes, pasta, or steamed vegetables.
  • For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half.
