Description

A creamy and comforting dish featuring tender chicken, sautéed mushrooms, and rich sour cream, served over egg noodles. This Chicken Mushroom Stroganoff is perfect for a cozy family dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook egg noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  • In a skillet, sauté onion and garlic until translucent. Add mushrooms and cook until browned.
  • Push veggies to the side, add chicken, and cook until no longer pink.
  • Sprinkle flour and paprika over the mixture, stirring well. Gradually add chicken broth, stirring until thickened.
  • Lower heat and mix in sour cream. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Serve over egg noodles, garnished with parsley.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider using garlic powder or onion powder.
  • Adjust the consistency of the sauce by adding more or less chicken broth.
