- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the filling: In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff the chicken: Cut a pocket into each chicken breast (be careful not to cut all the way through) and stuff each one with the cream cheese mixture. Secure with toothpicks if needed.
- Coat the chicken: Dip each stuffed chicken breast into breadcrumbs, pressing gently to coat evenly.
- Cook the chicken: Place the coated chicken breasts in a greased baking dish. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the filling is melted.
- Finish with sauce: Spoon marinara sauce over the chicken breasts and sprinkle with additional mozzarella cheese. Return to the oven for 5 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
