  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the filling: In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Stuff the chicken: Cut a pocket into each chicken breast (be careful not to cut all the way through) and stuff each one with the cream cheese mixture. Secure with toothpicks if needed.
  • Coat the chicken: Dip each stuffed chicken breast into breadcrumbs, pressing gently to coat evenly.
  • Cook the chicken: Place the coated chicken breasts in a greased baking dish. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the filling is melted.
  • Finish with sauce: Spoon marinara sauce over the chicken breasts and sprinkle with additional mozzarella cheese. Return to the oven for 5 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Serve: Garnish with fresh basil, if desired, and serve with pasta or a side salad.
