Creamy and comforting Chicken Tortellini Alfredo featuring tender cheese-filled tortellini tossed in a rich Alfredo sauce with juicy chicken pieces.


Ingredients

  • 1 package (9 oz) cheese tortellini
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Optional: pinch of nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Cook tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chicken pieces, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese until sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes. Add a pinch of nutmeg if using.
  6. Add cooked tortellini to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
  7. Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.

  • Use fresh or frozen tortellini as preferred.
  • For a lighter sauce, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
