- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Optional: pinch of nutmeg
Instructions
- Cook tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chicken pieces, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, bring to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes. Add a pinch of nutmeg if using.
- Add cooked tortellini to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
- Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh or frozen tortellini as preferred.
- For a lighter sauce, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
- Add steamed broccoli or peas for extra veggies.
