Description

This Creamy Asiago Chicken is a rich and flavorful dish that’s sure to impress. Tender chicken breasts are smothered in a creamy asiago cheese sauce, creating the perfect balance of savory and indulgent. Ideal for a weeknight dinner or special occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup asiago cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon freshly chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  2. Cook the chicken in the skillet for 6-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  5. Stir in the grated asiago cheese and cook until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth.
  6. Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning some of the creamy sauce over the top. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes to reheat the chicken.
  7. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve the creamy asiago chicken over pasta, rice, or with a side of vegetables. Enjoy!

Notes

  • ou can substitute the heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version, though it will be less rich.
  • If you prefer a thicker sauce, let it simmer longer to reduce, or add a cornstarch slurry (cornstarch mixed with water).
  • This dish pairs wonderfully with garlic bread, steamed vegetables, or mashed potatoes.
