Description

Chocolate Berry Bites are the perfect combination of rich, creamy chocolate and fresh, juicy berries, all wrapped up in a bite-sized treat. The sweetness of the berries pairs beautifully with the smooth, melt-in-your-mouth chocolate, making these an irresistible snack or dessert. Whether for a party, as a sweet snack, or a treat for a special occasion, these little bites are sure to be a hit!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and cut in half (or whole berries if small)
  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (or milk chocolate, depending on preference)
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (for drizzling)
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil (optional, for smooth melting)
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Berries: Wash the berries thoroughly. For strawberries, hull and cut them in half if they are large. Leave blueberries whole. Set aside.
  2. Melt the Chocolate: In separate microwave-safe bowls, melt the dark chocolate chips and white chocolate chips. For the dark chocolate, add 1 tbsp of coconut oil to make it smoother, if desired. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth.
  3. Dip the Berries: Dip each berry (strawberry or blueberry) into the melted dark chocolate, making sure it’s well-coated. For strawberries, you can dip the entire berry or just half. Place the dipped berries onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Drizzle with White Chocolate: Once the dark chocolate has set, drizzle the melted white chocolate over the berries using a spoon or a piping bag for precision.
  5. Add Sea Salt (Optional): Sprinkle a small pinch of sea salt over the chocolate-covered berries to enhance the flavors (optional).
  6. Let the Chocolate Set: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 30-45 minutes, or until the chocolate hardens completely.
  7. Serve: Once set, remove the chocolate-covered berries from the parchment paper and arrange them on a serving platter. Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Notes

  • You can use any variety of berries like raspberries, blackberries, or even cherries for different flavors.
  • For a more decadent treat, you can dip the berries in a layer of both dark and white chocolate.
  • These chocolate berry bites make for an excellent homemade gift! Simply package them in a gift box or jar for a sweet present.
