Ingredients
- Mini pretzels
- Peanut butter
- Unsalted butter
- Granulated sugar
- Sweetened condensed milk
- Vanilla extract
- Chocolate chips
- Heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- In a large bowl, crush the pretzels into small pieces. Pour them into the prepared baking dish and press them down firmly to form the first layer.
- In a saucepan, melt peanut butter, butter, and sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly. Once melted and smooth, stir in the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, until slightly thickened.
- Pour the peanut butter caramel mixture over the pretzel layer and spread evenly.
- In a separate saucepan, melt chocolate chips and heavy cream together over low heat, stirring until smooth. Pour the chocolate mixture over the peanut butter layer and spread evenly.
- Refrigerate the bars for 2 hours or until fully set. Once chilled, cut into bars and serve.
Notes
- If you want a stronger caramel flavor, use caramel chips instead of chocolate for the topping.
- For a salted kick, sprinkle a little sea salt over the chocolate layer before refrigerating.
- Bars can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
