  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract, then mix in the flour and salt until a dough forms.
  • Fold in the mini chocolate chips and set aside the cookie dough mixture.
  • Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and cut it into four equal squares.
  • Spoon a generous tablespoon of the cookie dough mixture into the center of each puff pastry square.
  • Fold each square in half to form a triangle, pressing the edges together with a fork to seal.
  • Beat the egg and brush the top of each turnover with the egg wash for a golden finish.
  • Bake the turnovers for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
