Description

Perfect for a cozy family breakfast, these fluffy pancakes are dotted with gooey chocolate chips and are sure to be a hit!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp white sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  • Add Wet Ingredients: Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the milk, egg, and melted butter. Mix until smooth and combined, but don’t overmix.
  • Stir in Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Heat the Griddle: Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium-high heat.
  • Cook the Pancakes: Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using about 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides (about 2-3 minutes per side) until golden and cooked through.
  • Serve: Serve hot with your favorite toppings like butter, syrup, or extra chocolate chips!

Notes

  • For best results, ensure your baking powder is fresh.
  • Don’t overmix the batter; a few lumps are okay.
