Description
This decadent chocolate bark is packed with the flavors of sweet strawberries and rich chocolate, making it the perfect treat for any occasion. It’s easy to make and always a crowd favorite!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ cups dried strawberries (or freeze-dried strawberries for a crisp texture)
- 12 oz semisweet chocolate (or milk chocolate)
- 8 oz white chocolate (optional for drizzling)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional, for extra flavor)
- Pinch of sea salt (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
- Melt the semisweet chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second intervals and stirring until smooth. You can also melt it using a double boiler.
- Once melted, pour the chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it into an even layer about ¼-inch thick.
- Immediately sprinkle the dried or freeze-dried strawberries evenly over the chocolate. Gently press them down into the chocolate to secure them.
- If using white chocolate, melt it and drizzle it over the top of the bark in a zigzag pattern for a decorative effect.
- Optionally, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top to enhance the flavors.
- Refrigerate the bark for at least 1 hour, or until completely set.
- Once set, break the bark into pieces and serve or store in an airtight container.
Notes
- For a fun twist, you can use dark chocolate for a richer flavor or add crushed nuts or sprinkles for texture.
- If you don’t have freeze-dried strawberries, dried strawberries work fine, but they might be chewier.
- If you prefer a less sweet option, opt for a high-cocoa dark chocolate.
