Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, and mix until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Stir in cocoa powder until well incorporated.
- Fold in chocolate chips, chopped hazelnuts, and rice cereal for the crunchy texture.
- Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the cookies are slightly cracked on top. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
