A decadent and indulgent treat with a molten chocolate center. These cookies are rich, fudgy, and bursting with chocolate flavor, making them a perfect dessert for any chocolate lover.

- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 12β15 small chocolate truffles (or pieces of dark chocolate)
Instructions
- Melt chocolate and butter: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips and butter in 20-30 second intervals, stirring in between. Set aside to cool slightly.
- Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Slowly add melted chocolate mixture and whisk until smooth.
- Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder. Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until a thick dough forms.
- Chill dough: Cover dough and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven: Set oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Form cookies: Scoop about 1 1/2 tablespoons of dough and flatten in your hand. Place a chocolate truffle or piece of dark chocolate in the center, then wrap dough around it to form a ball.
- Bake cookies: Place dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are set but centers still appear soft.
- Cool and enjoy: Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Enjoy warm to experience the molten chocolate center!
Notes
For extra decadence, you can sprinkle some sea salt on top of the cookies before baking.
