Description

A decadent and indulgent treat with a molten chocolate center. These cookies are rich, fudgy, and bursting with chocolate flavor, making them a perfect dessert for any chocolate lover.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 12–15 small chocolate truffles (or pieces of dark chocolate)

Instructions

  • Melt chocolate and butter: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate chips and butter in 20-30 second intervals, stirring in between. Set aside to cool slightly.
  • Mix wet ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Slowly add melted chocolate mixture and whisk until smooth.
  • Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder. Gradually fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until a thick dough forms.
  • Chill dough: Cover dough and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven: Set oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Form cookies: Scoop about 1 1/2 tablespoons of dough and flatten in your hand. Place a chocolate truffle or piece of dark chocolate in the center, then wrap dough around it to form a ball.
  • Bake cookies: Place dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are set but centers still appear soft.
  • Cool and enjoy: Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Enjoy warm to experience the molten chocolate center!

Notes
