Description

A rich and velvety dessert, this Chocolate Mousse Cake combines dark chocolate and whipped cream for an indulgent treat that’s perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup dark chocolate (70% cacao or higher)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup whipped cream

Instructions

  • Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a medium saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth. Set aside to cool.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until fluffy, about 5 minutes.
  • Fold the cooled chocolate mixture into the egg mixture until well combined.
  • Gently fold in the whipped cream until no streaks remain.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased cake pan and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours until set.
