Description

These Chocolate Peanut Butter Dream Bars are a decadent, no-bake dessert that combines a creamy peanut butter layer with a rich chocolate topping. With a buttery graham cracker crust, these bars are easy to make and will satisfy your sweet tooth! Perfect for parties, potlucks, or a simple indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Peanut Butter Layer:

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Chocolate Layer:

  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crust:

    • In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and granulated sugar.
    • Add the melted butter and stir until the mixture is evenly combined and resembles wet sand.
    • Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×9-inch square baking pan (or an 8×8-inch pan for thicker bars) to form an even layer.
    • Refrigerate the crust while you prepare the peanut butter layer.
  2. Make the Peanut Butter Layer:

    • In a large bowl, beat together the peanut butter, softened butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
    • Spread the peanut butter mixture evenly over the chilled graham cracker crust, smoothing it out with a spatula.
  3. Prepare the Chocolate Layer:

    • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips and butter together in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth.
    • Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter layer and spread it evenly with a spatula.
  4. Chill the Bars:

    • Refrigerate the bars for at least 2 hours, or until the chocolate is set and the bars are firm.
  5. Serve and Enjoy:

    • Once the bars are set, cut them into squares and serve. These are perfect for sharing or enjoying a small bite of heaven!

Notes

  • For a crunchy twist, you can add chopped peanuts to the peanut butter layer or sprinkle some on top of the chocolate layer.
  • If you prefer milk chocolate, feel free to substitute the semi-sweet chocolate chips with milk chocolate chips.

  • These bars can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week, or frozen for longer storage.
