Description

Chocolate Strawberry Brownies are a decadent twist on a classic dessert. Fudgy chocolate brownies are topped with a layer of sweet, fresh strawberries and finished with a rich chocolate ganache. Perfect for Valentine’s Day, special occasions, or anytime you’re craving an indulgent treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup chopped fresh strawberries
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (for ganache)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Add cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir until just combined. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
  4. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let cool completely.
  5. Arrange sliced or chopped strawberries evenly over the cooled brownies.
  6. In a small saucepan or microwave, heat heavy cream until just simmering. Pour over chocolate chips in a bowl and let sit for 1–2 minutes. Stir until smooth to make ganache.
  7. Pour ganache over the strawberries and gently spread. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Make sure brownies are completely cooled before adding strawberries and ganache.
  • Use a serrated knife to slice for cleaner edges.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator and enjoy within 3 days for best texture.
