Description

Crispy golden fries topped with spicy, savory chorizo sausage and melted cheese, perfect as a flavorful snack or appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large potatoes, cut into fries
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 8 oz chorizo sausage, casing removed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup sour cream (optional)
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Toss potato fries with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  2. Spread fries on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through, until crispy and golden.
  3. While fries bake, cook chorizo in a skillet over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat.
  4. Remove fries from oven and sprinkle evenly with cooked chorizo and shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Return to oven for 5-7 minutes, or until cheese melts.
  6. Top with sliced green onions, sour cream, and cilantro if desired.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, soak cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes before baking and pat dry.
  • Use spicy or mild chorizo depending on your heat preference.
  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauces like guacamole or salsa.
