- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 2 egg yolks
- ¾ cup sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1–2 tbsp milk (optional)

Instructions
- Mix flour and salt; set aside: In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the flour and salt, then set it aside.
- Cream butter and sugar until fluffy: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. This process will take around 3-5 minutes.
- Add egg yolks and vanilla; mix well: Add the egg yolks and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture. Beat until well combined.
- Stir in flour mixture until just combined: Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture. Stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C): Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pipe 1½-inch swirls on a parchment-lined pan: Using a piping bag, pipe 1½-inch swirls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden: Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Cool, dip in melted chocolate, and sprinkle: Allow the cookies to cool completely, then dip them in melted chocolate and sprinkle with festive sprinkles if desired.
Notes
- Chill the dough: If the dough is too soft to pipe, chill it in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to firm it up.
- Add milk if needed: If the dough feels too stiff, you can add 1-2 tablespoons of milk to achieve a smoother consistency.
- Optional decoration: Feel free to dip the cookies in either dark or white chocolate and decorate with sprinkles or edible glitter for a more festive look.
