- 12 oz (340g) white chocolate or candy melts (red, green, or white)
- Assorted holiday sprinkles
- 20–24 lollipop sticks
Instructions
- Bake the Cake:
- Prepare the cake according to the box instructions. Once baked, let it cool completely.
- Crumble and Mix:
- Crumble the cooled cake into fine crumbs in a large bowl. Add frosting a little at a time and mix until the crumbs stick together when pressed.
- Form the Balls:
- Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a lined baking sheet. Insert a lollipop stick into each ball, then chill in the freezer for 15–20 minutes.
- Coat the Cake Pops:
- Melt the white chocolate or candy melts according to package instructions. Dip each cake pop into the melted coating, ensuring it’s fully covered. Let excess drip off.
- Decorate:
- Quickly sprinkle the pops with holiday-themed sprinkles before the coating sets. Place them upright in a styrofoam block or on parchment paper to dry completely.
Notes
- You can customize the flavor of the cake by using either chocolate or vanilla cake mix and matching it with either chocolate or vanilla frosting.
- Make sure the cake balls are firmly formed before chilling them to avoid them falling off the lollipop sticks.
- Store cake pops in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
