Description

Indulge in the festive flavors of Christmas with these delightful Christmas Cookie Bars. Soft, chewy, and packed with colorful red and green M&Ms and creamy white chocolate chips, these bars are perfect for holiday gatherings, cookie exchanges, or simply satisfying your sweet tooth. Easy to make and even easier to share, they are a hit with both kids and adults alike!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup red and green M&Ms
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
  • Add Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • Fold in M&Ms and Chips: Gently fold in 3/4 cup of the M&Ms and the white chocolate chips, saving the rest for topping.
  • Bake: Spread the dough evenly into the prepared pan. Sprinkle the remaining M&Ms on top, pressing them slightly into the dough. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Cool and Slice: Let the bars cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.

Notes

  • For a festive touch, consider adding a sprinkle of holiday-themed sprinkles on top before baking.
  • You can substitute the M&Ms with other candies if desired, such as chocolate chunks or nuts.
