Description

Festive and fun, these Christmas Pancakes are perfect for holiday breakfasts. With a delightful tree shape and vibrant green color, they’re sure to bring joy to your table. Topped with whipped cream, sprinkles, and a dusting of powdered sugar, they make a charming seasonal treat for family and friends.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • Green food coloring
  • Whipped cream, for topping
  • Assorted sprinkles and candies, for decoration
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the milk, egg, and melted butter until well combined.
  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Stir in the green food coloring until the batter is evenly tinted.
  • Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter or cooking spray.
  • Pour the batter onto the skillet to form small circles, gradually adding smaller circles on top to form a tree shape as the batter cooks. Cook each pancake for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Stack the pancakes on a plate, starting with the largest at the bottom and tapering to the smallest at the top to form a Christmas tree.
  • Top the pancakes with whipped cream, sprinkles, candies, and a dusting of powdered sugar to resemble a snow-covered tree. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of green food coloring based on your desired shade.
  • Make sure to use a non-stick skillet for easy flipping.
