Description

Festive and colorful popcorn balls made with buttery marshmallow coating, perfect for holiday gatherings and treats. Fun to make and delicious to eat!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 cups popped popcorn
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 bag (10 oz) mini marshmallows
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Red food coloring
  • Green food coloring
  • Red and green sprinkles

Instructions

  • Place the popped popcorn in a large mixing bowl. Set aside.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
  • Stir in the corn syrup and vanilla extract. Remove the saucepan from the heat.
  • Divide the melted marshmallow mixture into two bowls. Add red food coloring to one bowl and green food coloring to the other. Mix each until fully combined.
  • Pour the red mixture over half of the popcorn and the green mixture over the remaining popcorn. Stir each batch until the popcorn is evenly coated.
  • Using greased hands, form the coated popcorn into balls, about the size of a tennis ball. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Sprinkle the popcorn balls with red and green sprinkles for a festive touch.
  • Allow the popcorn balls to cool and set before serving.

Notes

Grease your hands with butter or cooking spray to prevent the popcorn from sticking while forming the balls.
