Ingredients
Scale
- 10 cups popped popcorn
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 bag (10 oz) mini marshmallows
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Red food coloring
- Green food coloring
- Red and green sprinkles
Instructions
- Place the popped popcorn in a large mixing bowl. Set aside.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
- Stir in the corn syrup and vanilla extract. Remove the saucepan from the heat.
- Divide the melted marshmallow mixture into two bowls. Add red food coloring to one bowl and green food coloring to the other. Mix each until fully combined.
- Pour the red mixture over half of the popcorn and the green mixture over the remaining popcorn. Stir each batch until the popcorn is evenly coated.
- Using greased hands, form the coated popcorn into balls, about the size of a tennis ball. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Sprinkle the popcorn balls with red and green sprinkles for a festive touch.
- Allow the popcorn balls to cool and set before serving.
Notes
Grease your hands with butter or cooking spray to prevent the popcorn from sticking while forming the balls.
