For the brownies:

  • 612 drops green food coloring
  • 1 cup pretzel sticks (for trunks)
  • 1/4 cup rainbow confetti sprinkles
  • 2 tablespoons yellow star sprinkles

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan and line it with parchment paper.
  • Make Brownie Batter: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth. Gradually whisk in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Bake Brownies: Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let Cool: Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before lifting them out.
  • Cut into Triangles: Cut the brownies into 3 long rectangles. Then, cut each rectangle into triangular shapes to resemble Christmas trees.
  • Make Frosting: In a stand mixer, cream softened butter until fluffy. Gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and enough heavy cream to achieve a smooth consistency. Add green food coloring until the desired shade is reached.
  • Frost Brownies: Pipe the green frosting in a zig-zag pattern on each brownie to resemble Christmas trees.
  • Decorate: Top each brownie with pretzel sticks for trunks, rainbow sprinkles, and yellow star sprinkles on top.
