Description

These Christmas White Chocolate-Dipped Sugar Wafers are a quick and delightful treat for holiday festivities! With just a few ingredients and no baking required, they’re perfect for kids to help with and a hit at any gathering. Whip these up in no time and watch them disappear!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 (8 oz. or 9 oz.) packages sugar wafer cookies
  • 1 (1 lb.) package white candy melts or 1 (24 oz.) package white bark coating
  • 1 tbsp shortening
  • Assorted red, green, and white sprinkles (e.g., confetti sprinkles, nonpareils, etc.)

Instructions

  • Melt the Candy Coating: Combine the white candy melts or bark coating with the shortening in a microwave-safe bowl. Melt according to package directions, typically in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
  • Dip the Wafers: Dip each sugar wafer cookie about 3/4 of the way into the melted candy coating. Let the excess coating drip off back into the bowl.
  • Add Sprinkles: Immediately sprinkle the dipped portion with your choice of holiday sprinkles. Place the coated wafer on wax paper to set.
  • Repeat and Set: Repeat with the remaining sugar wafers, coating and decorating them one at a time. Let the dipped wafers stand at room temperature until the coating is fully set.
  • Store: Once set, store the cookies in an airtight container for up to two weeks.

Notes

  • Custom Colors: Use sprinkles or candy melts in different colors to match other holidays or celebrations.
  • Drizzle Effect: For an extra decorative touch, drizzle the coated wafers with contrasting colors of melted candy coating.
  • Add Flavor: Stir a few drops of peppermint extract into the melted coating for a festive flavor twist.
