Description
A decadent dessert combining the rich, creamy texture of cheesecake with the irresistible crunch of deep-fried Oreos, coated in a sweet cinnamon churro coating.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package Oreos
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.
- Using a spoon, carefully add a small amount of the cheesecake filling into the center of each Oreo cookie, gently pressing the cookie halves back together.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, milk, and egg until smooth to form the batter.
- In a frying pan, heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Dip the stuffed Oreos into the batter, coating them completely, then carefully drop them into the hot oil. Fry for 1-2 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the fried Oreos and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and cinnamon.
- While the Oreos are still warm, roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- These churro cheesecake deep-fried Oreos are best served warm right after frying.
- For extra flavor, you can drizzle them with chocolate or caramel sauce.
- If you don’t have cinnamon sugar, you can easily make your own by mixing equal parts cinnamon and sugar.
