Description

This Churro Cheesecake combines the creamy richness of traditional cheesecake with the delightful flavors of churros. With a buttery graham cracker crust, a smooth cinnamon-infused filling, and a sweet cinnamon sugar topping, this dessert is a showstopper for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup melted butter

For the Cheesecake Filling:

  • 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

For the Cinnamon Sugar Topping:

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Prepare the Crust: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, ¼ cup sugar, and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9×9-inch baking dish to form an even crust.
  • Make the Cheesecake Filling: In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and ¾ cup sugar until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and ground cinnamon. Pour the filling over the crust and spread it evenly.
  • Add the Cinnamon Sugar Topping: In a small bowl, combine ¼ cup sugar and 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the top of the cheesecake layer.
  • Bake: Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the center is set. Allow the cheesecake to cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
  • Serve: Enjoy your deliciously indulgent churro cheesecake!

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use cinnamon stick-infused butter for the crust.
  • Letting the cheesecake sit overnight in the refrigerator enhances the flavor.
