Description

These Cinnamon Cream Cheese Cookies are a cozy, spiced delight with a soft, chewy texture and a deliciously sweet cinnamon-sugar coating. Perfect for the holiday season or a comforting treat anytime, they bring the warmth of cinnamon and the creaminess of cream cheese together in each bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup butter (1 stick), room temperature
  • 4 oz cream cheese (½ block), room temperature
  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ¾ cup flour
  • ¾ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat together the butter and cream cheese until light and smooth.
  • Mix in the powdered sugar until fully combined.
  • Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  • In a separate small bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  • Cover the bowl and chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 60 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon.
  • Scoop and roll the dough into 1-inch balls, then roll each ball in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  • Arrange the dough balls on the baking sheet, leaving space between them.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Cool on a wire rack.

Notes

  • Chilling the dough is essential for preventing the cookies from spreading too much.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4-5 days.
  • You can freeze the dough balls before baking; bake directly from frozen, adding a few extra minutes if needed.
