Ingredients

  • 2 cans (8-count) refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
  • 1 tablespoon butter (for greasing)
  • 1 can (21 oz) apple pie filling
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Grease a 9ร—13-inch baking dish with butter.
  2. Separate cinnamon rolls and flatten each one into a 3-inch round. Use half to cover the bottom of the dish, pressing to seal any gaps.
  3. In a bowl, mix apple pie filling with cinnamon and nutmeg. Spread half over the cinnamon roll layer.
  4. In another bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and egg until smooth. Spread over apple filling layer.
  5. Top with remaining apple pie filling.
  6. Flatten remaining cinnamon rolls and arrange over the top to cover the filling.
  7. Bake for 35โ€“40 minutes, or until golden and set. Let cool for 10 minutes.
  8. Drizzle with reserved icing from cinnamon roll cans. Serve warm or chilled.
