Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tbsp milk (for glaze)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (for glaze)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and 1/2 tsp cinnamon.
  • In another bowl, cream the softened butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, stirring until combined.
  • Scoop the dough into tablespoon-sized balls and place them on the baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
  • For the glaze: Mix the powdered sugar, milk, and 1/2 tsp cinnamon until smooth, then drizzle over cooled cookies.
