Description

These delightful Cinnamon-Sugar Donuts are drizzled with chocolate, creating a perfect combination of warm, sweet, and indulgent flavors. Enjoy them fresh out of the fryer for the ultimate treat!

Ingredients

For the Donuts:

  • All-purpose flour: 2 cups
  • Baking powder: 1 1/2 tsp
  • Salt: 1/2 tsp
  • Granulated sugar: 1/2 cup
  • Unsalted butter: 1/4 cup, melted
  • Whole milk: 3/4 cup
  • Large egg: 1
  • Vanilla extract: 1 tsp
  • Oil for frying

For the Cinnamon-Sugar Coating:

  • Granulated sugar: 1 cup
  • Ground cinnamon: 2 tbsp

For the Chocolate Drizzle:

  • Semi-sweet chocolate chips: 1/2 cup
  • Butter: 1 tbsp
  • Milk: 2-3 tbsp

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk the melted butter, milk, egg, and vanilla extract. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a smooth dough forms.
  • Heat oil in a deep pan to about 350°F (175°C). Roll the dough into small balls or round donut shapes. Carefully fry the donuts for 1-2 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  • While the donuts are still warm, roll them in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar until well coated.
  • For the chocolate drizzle, melt the chocolate chips with butter and milk in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  • Drizzle the chocolate over the cinnamon-sugar donuts for an extra indulgent touch.

Notes

  • These donuts are best enjoyed warm, fresh out of the fryer with the chocolate drizzle still slightly melted.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
