These Citrus Herb Caprese Burgers combine juicy ground beef and Italian sausage with fresh mozzarella, tomato, and basil for a delightful twist on a classic burger. Perfect for summer grilling!

- 2 tablespoons Citrus Herb Seasoning
- 2 tablespoons hot water
- 1½ tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound 85% lean ground beef
- ½ pound ground mild Italian sausage
- 1 (8-ounce) package fresh mozzarella ball, cut into 6 slices
- 1 large tomato, cut into 6 slices
- Fresh basil leaves, optional
Instructions
- Prepare the Grill: Preheat your grill to medium heat.
- Mix Seasoning: In a large bowl, combine the Citrus Herb Seasoning, hot water, and olive oil. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Combine Meats: Add the ground beef and Italian sausage to the bowl. Mix well and form into 6 patties.
- Grill Patties: Place the patties on the grill. Grill for 10-12 minutes, turning once, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. In the last 1-2 minutes, top each patty with a slice of fresh mozzarella.
- Serve: Serve the burgers topped with a slice of tomato. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
Notes
- For a lighter option, serve on spinach leaves with Aged Balsamic Vinegar.
