Description

A hearty and flavorful beef stew simmered with tender vegetables and mushrooms, perfect for a cozy meal.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef chuck, cut into cubes
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 tsp thyme
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp flour

Instructions

  • Brown the beef in a pot with salt and pepper. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same pot, sauté onions and garlic until soft.
  • Stir in tomato paste, thyme, and flour. Cook for 1 minute.
  • Deglaze the pot with red wine, then add beef broth. Return the beef to the pot.
  • Add carrots and mushrooms, cover, and simmer for 2 hours until the beef is tender.
  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating the beef in the wine for a few hours before cooking.
