Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.

  2. Prepare the Dough:

    • In a large bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, butter, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.

    • Add the egg and vanilla extract (and coconut extract if using), and beat until fully incorporated.

    • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

    • Fold in the shredded coconut and white or semi-sweet chocolate chips (if using).
