- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk (about 110°F). Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy. Add sugar, melted butter, eggs, salt, and flour. Mix until well combined, forming a soft dough.
- Knead the Dough: On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Let It Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Prepare the Filling: Roll out the dough into a large rectangle (approximately 16×21 inches). Spread softened butter evenly over the dough, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Shape the Rolls: Roll up the dough tightly from the long edge and cut into 12 equal slices. Place in a greased 9×13-inch baking pan, leaving space between each roll. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Prepare the Coffee Frosting: Beat together the softened butter, powdered sugar, cooled coffee, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until smooth and fluffy.
- Frost the Rolls: Allow the rolls to cool slightly for about 5 minutes before generously spreading the coffee frosting over the warm cinnamon rolls.
