Description

Cookie Monster Fluff is a fun, creamy dessert that’s as playful as it is delicious! With crushed cookies, sweetened whipped topping, and a burst of blue color, this dessert is a fun twist on a classic fluff salad. It’s perfect for parties, potlucks, or just a fun treat for the kids (and adults!) to enjoy.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 oz) container of whipped topping (Cool Whip)
  • 1 package (5.1 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt for a lighter version)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup blue food coloring (or gel, for more intense color)
  • 1520 chocolate chip cookies (such as Chips Ahoy or Oreo)
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Fluff Base: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and milk until it starts to thicken. Stir in the sour cream (or Greek yogurt), powdered sugar, and blue food coloring, mixing until smooth and evenly colored.

  2. Fold in the Whipped Topping: Gently fold in the whipped topping (Cool Whip) until the mixture is smooth and fluffy. Be careful not to deflate the whipped topping; you want to keep the fluffiness!

  3. Crush the Cookies: Take the chocolate chip cookies and crush them into small pieces, either by hand or using a food processor. You can make them as big or as small as you’d like, but a medium size works best for texture.

  4. Combine the Cookies and Fluff: Stir the crushed cookies into the fluffy mixture, being careful not to crush them too much. You want some texture from the cookies to remain!

  5. Chill: Cover the bowl and refrigerate the Cookie Monster Fluff for at least 2 hours, or until ready to serve. This allows the flavors to meld together and the fluff to set.

  6. Serve: Before serving, garnish with mini chocolate chips on top for an extra sweet touch. Serve chilled and enjoy this fun, cookie-filled treat!

Notes

  • You can substitute any type of cookie for the chocolate chip ones. Oreos, for example, would give the fluff a delicious chocolate flavor.
  • If you want to make it extra fun, add more colorful sprinkles or candy on top for added texture and appearance.
